Kennedy Heights Backyard Oasis

Overview

This project transformed a typical lot in the City into a backyard oasis, highlighted by the new pond and waterfall adjacent to the new patio.  Walls and steps were incorporated into the design to tie into the new home addition.

Elements

Natural stone patio, stone walls, stone path, stone steps, railings, pond

Start-to-Finish

5 weeks

Before the Work Began

We inherited a relatively blank slate here, while also trying to maintain existing parts of the landscape the client liked and wanted to keep intact.

Building Stone Pathways & Stairs

Some action shots of preparing and installing the stone walls, paths and stairs. We are also addressing drainage concerns along the way.

We used a unique install process for the pavers on the upper path. Machine access was limited, so we used GatorBase to reduce the necessary excavation.

Creating a Backyard Pond

Finished Patio

Quiet area to sit next to the pond and hear the water, surrounded by plants and new natural stone work.
