About Owner Nate Thibedeau
During college, Nate always worked outdoor summer jobs, whether working for the City Parks Department back home or working for another landscape firm, gaining experience and knowledge. After over ten years with a large Wisconsin landscaping company where he learned nearly every possible role, he ventured out on his own to start Acer Landscaping in 2011. He never looked back, and Acer has grown each year.
Acer is now large enough that we can take nearly any size project, big or small, but small enough that we still enjoy a tight-knit family feel within the team.
Hobbies
While my hands and thoughts touch every project we undertake, I don’t always get a chance to connect with our clients socially. I’d like the share a little about me and what goes on “behind the scenes.”
My free time is filled with hobbies and family. Travel, camping, dogs, and golf are in the mix, but Ultimate Frisbee eats up most of my time. I started playing Ultimate in college, and it developed into a lifelong passion. Summers are filled with tournaments, travel & practice. I’ve played professionally, winning both National and World Championship gold medals. This 2022 photo was taken after our team won a World Championship in Ireland.
Family
My son, Milo, has become a dedicated rock climber. He is on the Advanced level climbing team Boulders Climbing Gym, and has started to dabble with competitive tournaments. Practice twice per week, and we usually end up there on the weekend too, just can’t keep Milo away. Here is a photo of Nate and Milo at Summerfest last year. Milo’s favorite band AJR puts on an amazing show.
Our chocolate lab, Willow, serves as Acer’s unofficial mascot. She’s shown here after initiating a paper shredding project (her idea) in one of our offices.
